Depending on the cover you have, insured events can include:

Understanding your Mechanical Breakdown cover
The cover available depends on the vehicle and policy selected. Vehicle eligibility, claim limits, excesses, servicing requirements and exclusions apply.
Your policy documentation sets out the cover that applies to your vehicle. For full details, refer to Provident’s current Key Benefits, Features and Exclusions information and the relevant Policy Booklet.
Guaranteed Asset Protection — GapCover
If your vehicle is written off as a total loss, the amount paid by your comprehensive motor vehicle insurer may not always cover your full financial position.
Provident GapCover is designed to help cover the difference between your comprehensive vehicle insurance payout and:
- the balance outstanding on your credit contract if your vehicle is financed; or
- the original purchase price you paid for the vehicle if it was purchased with cash.
The cover that applies depends on the GapCover option selected and is subject to the limits, conditions and exclusions of the policy.
Special Benefits
Additional Special Benefits cover may also be selected. This is designed to reimburse certain associated incidental costs following an accepted claim, subject to the policy terms.
Understanding your GapCover
GapCover works alongside your comprehensive motor vehicle insurance and does not replace it.
For full details of the cover, including applicable limits, conditions and exclusions, refer to Provident’s current Key Benefits, Features and Exclusions information and GapCover Policy Booklet.
