Being better informed makes for better decisions. Have a question or two? Check out these helpful FAQs or get in touch with the team.

What types of bikes can I finance?

We can help you finance a wide range of motorbikes - from brand-new models to quality used bikes. This includes cruisers, sportbikes, scooters, dirt bikes, touring bikes, and more. Whether you're buying from a dealership or a private seller, there's likely a loan option to suit your purchase and budget. If it's roadworthy and within lending guidelines, there's a good chance we can help.

How much can I borrow for a motorbike?

It depends on the value of the bike, your income, your existing debts, and what you can comfortably afford to repay. Whether it's a commuter bike, a weekend cruiser, or a high-end sportbike, our lenders offer motorbike loans from $3,000 up to $100,000. Putting down a deposit or trading in an existing vehicle may increase how much you can borrow, or help you get a better rate. Subject to lender criteria and approval.

How is my motorbike loan interest rate decided?

Your rate is personalised. It's based on things like your credit history, the loan details, and the security on the loan - if the bike is used as security, that can mean a lower rate. You can see the current rate range in the Loan Information section below, and use the calculator to get a feel for repayments (a guide only until we assess your application).

What fees are involved in a motorbike loan?

Motorbike loans usually have an establishment fee and an introducer fee. Some lenders also charge a PPSR fee or ongoing account fees. We'll spell out every fee before you go ahead, so there are no surprises. Full fee details, including a worked example, are in the Loan Information section below and in your loan contract.

How long are motorbike loan terms?

Motorbike loan terms typically range from one to five years, depending on the lender and what suits your budget. A shorter term means higher repayments but less interest overall. A longer term lowers the repayments but usually costs more in total interest. The best option depends on your budget and how long you plan to keep the bike

How quickly can I get the money?

It varies, but with all your information in, approval can be same-day. Once you're approved and everything's signed, funds are often available the same or next day, depending on the lender. Approval is subject to meeting lending criteria, and an affordability test applies.

Do I need a deposit for a motorbike loan?

Not always. Some lenders will finance up to 100% of the bike's value, so no-deposit lending can be an option. A deposit isn't required but putting one down can reduce how much you borrow and may help you get a better rate. Subject to lender criteria and approval.

Can I get a motorbike loan if I have bad credit?

Possibly. A less-than-perfect credit history doesn't automatically rule you out - we work with lenders who understand that life happens, and that credit scores don't tell the whole story. They look at your income and whether you can comfortably afford the repayments. Rates may be higher and the amount you can borrow may be lower. Keeping up with repayments can also help rebuild your credit over time. Subject to lender criteria and approval.

Can I finance a used or second-hand motorbike?

Yes. Plenty of riders buy pre-owned, and we can help finance used bikes too. Eligibility depends on the lender's criteria for the bike's age, condition and value. We'll let you know what's possible for the bike you're looking at.

Will applying for a motorbike loan affect my credit score?

When you start an application, we run a soft credit check to size up your options - and a soft check doesn't affect your credit score. It's only if you go ahead with a lender, and they run a full credit check, that it's recorded on your credit file and may affect your score. Applying with several providers can mean several checks.

Can I pay off my motorbike loan early?

Yes, in most cases you can make early or lump-sum repayments, which can reduce the total interest you pay. Some lenders charge an early repayment fee, so it's worth checking your loan contract before you go ahead.

What happens if I can't make a repayment?

Get in touch with your lender as soon as you can - the earlier the better. Missing a repayment may mean fees and could affect your credit score, so keeping the lines open is the most important thing. Lenders can often work something out if they know early.

Is a motorbike loan secured against the bike?

Usually, yes. Most motorbike loans are secured against the bike you're buying, which can help you get a better rate. Some lenders offer unsecured options too. Which one suits you comes down to your situation - we'll talk you through it.

Can I refinance an existing motorbike loan?

Yes. If your circumstances have changed, refinancing could help - for example, adjusting your repayments or reviewing your rate. It's worth being clear on what you want to achieve first, as refinancing can extend your loan term and savings aren't guaranteed. We can talk through whether it makes sense for you. Subject to approval and responsible lending checks.

Can I get a motorbike loan if I'm self-employed?

Yes - being self-employed doesn't rule you out. Lenders will usually want to see proof of income, like bank statements or financial records, to understand what you can comfortably repay. We'll let you know what's needed
